We fill our classes to the brim of activity so the time spent with us is FULL of technique, advancement AND relationship building within their class. When we say we care about each of our dancers, it's not a phrase - it's the foundation our studio is built upon.

Meet Ms. Sam

Meet Samantha Taylor, also known as Ms. Sam, the heart and soul behind "En Pointe Dance Academy" in downtown Clio. With over 28 years of experience in dance and a passion for nurturing young talent, Ms. Sam began teaching 20 years ago and transformed her lifelong dream into reality when she opened En Pointe 10 years ago.

From Dream to Reality

A dream that began as a one-room studio in the back of her home has since transpired into this amazing facility we have created with nearly 10 staff members and a lifetime of over 400 dancers coming in and out of the studio.

Our Philosophy

The goal has never been about competition and entering the cutthroat dance world you may see on TV. The goal is love for an art so many have within them. The goal is friendship and community and fun each and every week you walk into the studio.

More than Just Dance

En Pointe is more than just dance, it's creativity, community, passion, and art. We welcome you to be a part of that community.

Details about how our schedule works.

Semester 1

Semester 1 runs from September 8 to December 11, 2026

There are no classes November 24–27. Two cancellation days are built into each semester.

Semester Tuition is due at registration for the 1st semester. If you pay in full, it is a $20 semester discount.

You may also make monthly payments on the semester total. Those monthly payments are due at registration, September, October, and November.

A winter showcase fee of $75 per dancer is due December 1. This includes 2–4 tickets, depending on enrollment and capacity; additional tickets cost extra. The winter showcase is December 18, 2026 at Swartz Creek Performing Arts Center.

*Semester 1 CAN be done without attending Semester 2

Semester 2

Semester 2 runs from January 4 to May 7, 2027

There are no classes January 18 or March 26–April 9. Two cancellation days are built into each semester.

Semester Tuition is due in December for the 2nd semester. If you pay in full, it is a $20 semester discount.

The five monthly payments are due in December, January, February, April, and May. March’s tuition payment moves to May to help offset recital costs.

A $120 recital showcase fee per dancer is due in January. It includes tights, a T-shirt, and a trophy, and helps cover Awards Night and other hall rentals. A discount is available for families with three or more dancers.

Costumes and tickets are additional. Tickets are estimated at $10–$20 each. Costume fees vary by class and genre and average $70–$140 per class. These fees are due in full in March, when there is no tuition payment. The season guide describes these as high-end examples of recital costs.

*Elite levels and above must attend Semester 1 to participate in Semester 2

Discount

We run the season based on 2 semesters. *Monthly payments are not a reflection of how many weeks in each month - it is the total cost divided equally into a payment plan for families' convenience.

  • 2 classes - 13%
  • 3 classes - 23%
  • 4 classes - 33%
  • 5 classes - 38%
